Well, you should always do your research and hopefully if it passes this litmus test you should remember that there is one main thing to remember, keep going! Success doesn't always come from one attempt and more often than not it takes a lot more tries before you get there.
Some of the greatest inventions came from applying existing things to other things, it could be what turns a failing or fair idea into a real winner!

Most people believe that getting rich is not quick and indeed anyone who tells you that it's possible to be a liar. All you need though is a good idea and the means to communicate this to others and swiftly you'll end up potentially making a mint.
Take YouTube for example, Google didn't buy it because they couldn't do it themselves, they bought it because they wanted to buy the audience! Now they advertise to every user and can relay linked adverts to the users.

Interestingly if you were to break down communication into view elements then you would be looking at roughly 70% body language, 23% the way you say it and around 7% is what you say. So this is why politicians may look and sound convincing but what they say is nonsense! A similar thing can be said for sales and other professions, if you harness better non verbal communication (NVC) your conversion rates are increased dramatically.
So telesales you lose out on body language down the phone but if it helps going through the motions as if in front of the person, do it - afterall it will probably help convey the message more effectively in terms of how you say things and indeed the actual thing you're saying!

Does what works here work worldwide?

People in the US and UK often wonder if what works in the media at one place will it translate well across the pond. In truth, generally yes! Although subtle things like humour and language register used do play a part, we are pretty universal in how we think or look at things. Thanks to the saturation of media, largely one way from the States, we are pretty much reading frim the same page.
If anyone here is reading this, please stop dubbing the actors voices in English accents when clearly they are too tanned to be British, it undermines us.
